Worst Case We Get Married
Behind her loud mouth Aïcha is hiding a sensitive fragility. The impudent teenager fails to understand why her mother left her Algerian stepfather, whom she loves more than anything in the world. Caught up in the perception that nobody understands her, she meets the attractive musician Baz. For her, it is love at first sight. Baz is almost twice Aïcha’s age, however, and sees in her more of a younger sister. Aïcha is prepared to do anything to convince Baz that they could be the perfect couple. Soon she is caught in a complex scheme of her own doing… In her most recent directorial work, Swiss director Lea Pool, a master of the cinematic exploration of female identity, tells of the fragility of a young woman desperately searching for support and attention.
